Glastonbury Pilgrimage Association and Water Aid Partnership

The Glastonbury Pilgrimage, to be held this year on Saturday 16th June, has formed a partnership with the well-known charity WaterAid.

For the next five years parishes supporting the Pilgrimage will be raising money for a specific WaterAid Project -- the provision of drinking-water and sanitation for a number of villages in Central Uganda. The Project itself is due to begin in April of this year.

This year there is a target of £5,000, but should this be exceeded, the scope of the project may well be able to be enlarged.

Details of the Launch of this Project, which took place at the Town Hall in Glastonbury on Friday, 26th January 2007 are contained in the files below.

Further information about the Pilgrimage itself is available from:

The Hon. Secretary, Pilgrimage Association, Well Cottage, Short Street,
Chapmanslade, Westbury. BA13 4AA Tel: 01373 632767
